Summary of Role

GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join the Silicon Validation team in Dresden, Germany. The team is responsible for the validation of IP blocks on test chips. The position to be filled requires knowledge of circuit design, silicon validation and test principles and their implementation.

A good knowledge of semiconductor technology and test automation methods as well as software programming methods is desired. As a member of a global organization the validation engineer has to support validation projects from several customers at the same time.

Your Job

  • Creation of silicon validation concepts.

  • Influencing silicon test architecture (Design For Test).

  • Implementation of test hardware and software.

  • Execution of validation and characterization tests.

  • Interpretation and documentation of test results, technical writing.

  • Project work with possible assumption of project leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or corresponding education.

  • Knowledge in ATE test programming, e.g. on Teradyne and/or Advantest testers.

  • Test automation programming skills.

  • Fluent English communication (C1) and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in non-volatile memory testing, test data.
