Your Job
As a Junior Integration PLCM Product‑Readiness Engineer (Silicon Proto Owner, SPO), you support the cross‑functional activities required to introduce new products at GlobalFoundries. In this entry‑level role, you help coordinate technical tasks, track progress, and assist teams as products move from silicon prototype (PQ4) into early production ramp (PQ5). You work closely with the Product Life Cycle Management team and collaborate with Design Enablement, Process Integration, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Marketing.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the silicon and ramp‑readiness phases (PQ4/PQ5) for new products.
Help align product routes with baseline technology and lead products.
Track product‑introduction issues and assist in driving them to resolution.
Work with program managers to execute new‑product‑introduction plans.
Identify potential problems, communicate them clearly, and support corrective actions.
Contribute to balancing ramp priorities with ongoing production needs.
Share product and ramp status updates in technical discussions.
Present findings and recommendations with guidance from senior team members.
Support coordination across teams to ensure a smooth product ramp.
Assist in managing schedule‑quality trade‑offs during product introduction.
Participate in risk‑management activities during the ramp phase.
Help identify process‑improvement opportunities with program managers and partner teams.
Contribute to the RTR/RTP process during product ramp.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field study.
Strong soft and team player skills and sense of urgency required.
Analytic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in diverse, multi-cultural environment.
Business fluent English skills (at least C1).
Preferred Qualifications
First experience in a semiconductor environment or related industry, e.g. as working student or intern.
Business fluent German skills (at least C1).
